New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT):

Generation Iron Fitness Network is a division of The Vladar Company (a media and entertainment company, led by Vlad Yudin and Edwin Mejia.) Generation Iron Fitness Network is the first digital network for fitness and bodybuilding enthusiasts. That means a vast ecosystem of original fitness shows, articles, and brand new programming covering a wide variety of workout tips, contest coverage (including high profile events such as Mr. Olympia & Arnold Classic), and on the spot breaking news about the pros. Generation Iron Fitness Network provides brand new, original programming that can be watched right on your
computer, tablet, or smart phone while giving the viewer access to the biggest stars out there today. A true inside look into the pro bodybuilding and fitness world. Generation Iron Fitness Network is the ASAS Newark/ New York Media Sponsor, and generously covers events and school programming.
Classroom, Inc. is a nonprofit that helps students in high-poverty communities develop literacy and leadership skills. This summer we implemented their curriculum in our summer program using their approach by creating digital learning games and curriculum set in the professional world and supporting educators in creating student-centered classrooms, we invite students to take charge of their learning.
Newark Mentoring Movement:
Founded in 2012, Newark Mentoring Movement’s vision is to expand mentorship opportunities in the Greater Newark Area. To achieve their goal, NMM makes mentorship an enviable experience with shared benefits and accountability for mentors and mentees. The Newark Mentoring Movement is a, matchmaker, connecting
individuals, organizations and communities to existing mentoring programs to empower Newark’s youth and powerfully transform our beloved Brick City. By promoting best practices and strong, long-term mentoring relationships, the Newark Mentoring Movement strives to have an exponential impact on Newark’s
youth. ASAS Newark works with NMM to create effective, sustainable mentorship experiences for Newark students.
New York Red Bulls:
The New York Red Bulls are an American professional soccer team based in Harrison, New Jersey. The team competes in the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS). It is one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, having competed in the league since its inception in 1994.The New York Red Bulls are dedicated to giving back to the community in which they live and work. Through the involvement of Red Bulls players, coaches, and staff, along with the support of their fans, they seek to make a positive impact in the community on and off the field.
The Afterschool Alliance is dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of afterschool programs and advocating for more afterschool investments. The Afterschool Alliance works with the Administration, the U.S. Congress, governors, mayors and advocates across the country.
America’s Promise Alliance is a coalition dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth, bringing together more than 400 national organizations representing nonprofits, businesses, communities, educators and policymakers. America’s Promise was founded under the premise of five “promises” considered the fundamental resources young people need to succeed: Caring Adults, Safe Places, A Healthy Start, Effective Education, and Opportunities to Help Others.
Newark Youth Court:
The Newark Youth Court trains teenagers to serve as jurors, judges and advocates, handling real- life cases involving their peers. The goal of the Newark Youth Court is to use positive peer pressure to ensure that young people who have committed minor offenses restore harm done to the community and receive the help they need to avoid further involvement in the justice system. The Newark Youth Court hears a range of low-level offenses referred by the Newark Public Schools, Newark Police Department, and the Newark Municipal Court. Since the launch of the program in 2009, the Newark Youth Court has served more than 450 respondents. Additionally, youth court members and respondents contributed more than 1,700 hours of community service hours at soup kitchens, after school programs, local community events, urban gardens and parks.
